House, Hold
House, Hold delves into my own home life with my wife, Jackie, during shelter-in-place in our apartment in Alameda, California. Together we made a new photograph every day for the month of May looking at how we negotiate home, our roles, and power dynamics in this time. Since 2018 I’ve been collaborating with others on New Domesticity where I’ve been making photographs of what home looks like current day. Since I was unable to continue that work I decided to turn the camera inward on my own home and to examine all that is quirky, vulnerable, messy and beautiful within our relationship and domestic space.
